About Us and Our Approach
Who's behind Behio Natural and why we make cosmetics the way we do. Honest ingredients, small batches, and packaging that respects nature.
Behio Natural started in one apartment kitchen, next to a pot of shea butter and a notebook full of ingredients we didn't understand. It bothered us that with most cosmetics, you often have no idea what you're putting on your skin. So we started making things we understand completely.
Today it's a small brand, not a chain. We make most of our products in small batches, because we'd rather make less and do it properly than fill a warehouse with things we don't feel connected to. We fill our serums and oils into small bottles, cut soap from the block, and pour our candles by hand.
How We Choose Our Ingredients
We pick raw materials based on what they can do, not on what's cheapest. We cold press our rosehip oil, source the goat milk for our soap from a single supplier, and buy our essential oils in small quantities so the scent never feels artificial. When we can't do something honestly, we'd rather not do it at all.
We don't like overblown promises. Cosmetics aren't magic, but a well made formula simply works better and feels nicer to use every day. That's why with every product we tell you plainly who it suits and who it might not.
Why We Care About Packaging
We pack our orders so that as little as possible is left behind. We use paper and fillers that can be recycled, candle glasses can be washed and reused, and we don't add anything extra to shipments just for show. It isn't perfect and we're still working on it, but we take it seriously.
