# About us and how we work Behio Natural started in the kitchen of one apartment, next to a pot of shea butter and a notebook full of ingredient names we did not understand. It bothered us that with ordinary cosmetics you often have no idea what you are putting on your skin. So we started making things where we know exactly. Today it is a small brand, not a chain. We make most products in smaller batches, because we would rather make less and do it properly than fill a warehouse with things we have no relationship to. We fill serums and oils into small bottles, we cut soap from the block and we pour candles by hand. ## How we choose ingredients We pick a raw material for what it can do, not for what is cheapest. We cold press the rosehip oil, we source the goat milk for our soap from a single supplier and we buy essential oils in small amounts so the scent never turns artificial. When we cannot make something honestly, we would rather not make it at all. We do not like overblown promises. Cosmetics are not magic, but a well made formula simply works better and is nicer to use every day. That is why we say plainly with every product who it suits and who it probably will not. ## Why packaging matters to us We pack so that as little as possible is left behind. We use paper and fillers that can be recycled, the candle glasses can be washed and reused, and we do not add anything to a parcel just for show.
